SOCIETY MENUS

The following menu choices will illustrate the selections available and these can be tailored to individual requirements. Vegetarian options are always available.

For breakfast and evening meal we require a minimum booking of twelve, and in all cases please select only one choice per course for all members of your party.

As an alternative to an evening meal (if there are less than twelve in your society) we can offer platters of mixed sandwiches at a cost of £3.50 per person.

DINNER/LUNCH  MENU

STARTERS

 Spicy Beef and Vegetable Soup

Minced beef and diced vegetables cooked in a rich and spicy beef stock
served with a crusty roll

Crayfish Caesar Salad

Crispy lettuce topped with crayfish tails, parmesan shavings and croutons,
finished with Caesar dressing

Brie and Sun-blushed Tomato Tart

Individual tartlets filled with French brie, sun-blushed tomato
Basil coulis and oven baked

 Thai Style Fish Cakes

Thai style fish cakes served on a bed of vegetable noodles with sweet chilli sauce

Potted Shrimps

Brown potted shrimps served on a bed of seasonal leaves
with brown bread and butter

Chicken Liver Pate

Coarse chicken liver pate served with onion marmalade and warm crusty pain rustique

Melon and Parma Ham

Slices of seasonal melon wrapped in Parma ham
Served with rocket salad and balsamic glaze

 MAIN COURSES

 Chicken with Ratatouille

Pan fried chicken supreme served in a bed of chunky ratatouille

Baked Haddock

Fresh haddock fillet topped with pesto mash, tomatoes, basil and oven baked

Pork Loin Steak

Pan fried pork loin glazed with honey and soy sauce
served with stir fried vegetables

Lamb Leg Steak with Blackcurrant Sauce

Grilled lamb leg steaks served with a blackcurrant, orange and grain mustard sauce

Steak and Ale Pie

Traditional steak and ale pie, topped with short crust pastry

Honey and Orange Glazed Gammon

Oven roasted gammon, glazed with honey and orange,
served with mustard mash

Roast Lamb

Boned and rolled leg of lamb roasted with garlic and rosemary

Vegetarian

Stuffed aubergine and beef tomatoes served with a tomato and basil sauce

 

All these dishes are served with a selection of seasonal vegetables

DESSERTS

 Blackcurrant Delice

A light creamy mousse served with blackcurrant sorbet

Bread and Butter Pudding

Thin slices of brioche buttered, topped with sultanas and egg custard
oven baked and served with custard

Chocolate Sponge Pudding

Steamed chocolate sponge topped with chocolate sauce and
served with vanilla ice cream

Pannacotta with Berries

A creamy style Italian dessert topped with a mixed berry compote

Fresh Fruit Salad

A combination of fresh seasonal fruits marinated in orange and cinnamon syrup

Apple Tart

Open apple tart flavoured with cinnamon and topped with brown sugar
and served with custard

Lemon Meringue Pie

Tangy lemon pie topped with meringue served warm with cream
